My Story

For years, I operated at the epicenter of high-stakes environments—navigating the chaotic, fast-paced world of early-stage startups before transitioning into leadership in Big Tech.

On paper, I was winning the game. I understood the rush of the climb, the thrill of the scale, and the immense weight of expectation that comes with being at the top of the tech industry. But behind the achievements was a persistent hum of anxiety.

Despite the perks and the prestige, I found myself "internally redlining" nearly every day. I was successful, yet I felt a deep sense of being "soul-hollow." I realized that I had mastered the strategy of the business, but I was failing the strategy of my own wellbeing.

My shift happened when I stopped viewing my career and my peace as two separate buckets. I began integrating contemplative practices with the high-level strategy I used at work. I discovered that presence wasn't a distraction from performance—it was my most powerful strategic tool. I learned how to lead without losing my center.

This realization led me to create Ricki Wax Enterprises. I saw too many visionary leaders at the world’s most innovative companies burning out before they reached their potential.

I decided to build a bridge between the practical skills of career navigation and the soft wisdom of mindfulness. Today, my mission is to help you lead with "Integrated Ambition"—finding the space where your drive and your peace finally meet.

For over five years I've worked with professionals at some of the world's most recognized companies, helping them navigate pivots, promotions, leadership conflicts, and the quieter moments where something needs to change but they can't quite name it yet.

My approach goes beyond tactics. I coach the whole person — combining practical career strategy with mindfulness practices so my clients don't just land the next role, they lead with clarity, intention, and a sense of self that doesn't get left at the door.

When I’m not coaching or facilitating retreats, you can find me in the stillness of a quiet morning, sipping coffee and walking my dog through the soft light of Austin. Or, perhaps, you'll find me on a beach in the Caribbean , simply admiring God's creations. I’m a firm believer that the most profound breakthroughs happen in the space between the work.
